So, Rainwater won the battle of the books today! I managed to convince myself that if I didn't get to Not my Daughter, I can still place it on hold and read some other time, hopefully when all my holds do not come together. (Speaking of holds, I have 3 new holds available now. So I doubt there will ever be a situation when all my holds cease to come together)

"August eleventh, 1934," the woman read aloud. Then looking back at him, she asked, "What does it commemorate? An anniversary? Birthday? Something exceptional?"

I LOVED this story. So different from the old Sandra Brown.
Interesting teaser! Enjoy!

I just think you're lucky that you're allowed to place holds on so many books. My library limits me to three. Three! Luckily, my hubby doesn't use his card too much, so I can put three more on his, but that still feels like a ridiculously low number.

Diane, I loved it too!

Jennifer, I can put only 8, but yeah, 3 sucks! 6, too. I guess for people like me, anything above 5 is too much, considering all my holds tend to come together! Maybe its the library's way of making us feel less guilty, in the event we can't read a book. ;-)
