Pizza Girl by Jean Kyoung Frazier | Thoughts

Published in : 2020 Format read in : ebook Location : Los Angeles, US Rating : 4/5 Why I read it : I believe I saw this book first on the Morning's ToB longlist and then same day came across a copy in my library's Overdrive catalog and decided to read it. One line review : A slow mental destruction waiting to happen, live, as you read the book - not fun but also reinforces how easy it is to miss the signs. Who should read it : If a little stream-of-consciousness and reading about mental illness is something you gravitate towards, I would recommend this book to you.  Soon, you’ll have your own beautiful boy or girl who will look at you with their perfect little face and you’ll feel love and hope and, mostly, you’ll feel the weight of everything that’s ever happened to you and everything that will ever happen to them and you’ll want to run. Thoughts : At the beginning of Pizza Girl , we learn that our unnamed protagonist is pregnant, just out of high school, and working as a pizz

Flashback Challenge!! (2010)

I've been planning to re-read a few books during the next year. Now with Aarti @ BOOKLUST and Kristen M @ We Be Reading hosting this challenge, I guess this is one more I can add to my challenge kitty. LOL!

Challenge Guidelines:
1. The Flashback Challenge will run from January 1, 2010 - December 31, 2010.
2. You can do mini-challenges too!  These are:
    - Re-read a favorite book from your childhood
    - Re-read a book assigned to you in high school
    - Re-read a book you loved as an adult

For now, I plan to read the Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings series. I plan to sign-up at the Literati level, and read over 6 books. If you expect to re-read some books, go to Flashback challenge

Update (Dec 27, 2010): I expected to finish this challenge, but I'm at least 2 books short. Oh well! Here's what I did read:
1. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
3. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
4. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
5. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
