The two week update | Weekly Snapshot

Oh yikes, this once-in-two-week blogging routine better not be a habit. I hope it's just an indication of how busy July can get with planning for a birthday and doing different summer things. Life The girl had her birthday party today with friends from school and she had a fun day! It was nice seeing the kids have fun outside of school and take over the bouncy event place like they knew every corner of it. I was grateful for everyone who were brave enough to come to a party despite recent rises in case count. Thankfully most or all of us were vaccinated so that made the decision-making easier. Now that the party is behind me, I have a ton of things to get back to. I am hoping for a quieter week ahead and a chance to catch up on a few things. Wow! It feels good to be home, albeit LA, which is not really home, but at least I am not staying in a hotel. I actually stay in Virginia, where I do my Masters, but currently, I am visiting my cousin in LA. On New Years Eve, my cousin's family and I drove 6 hours north to San Francisco. Three days of sightseeing, another 6 hour car drive back, and plenty of aching bones later, I am glad to be back in LA, to read and relax.

I should say, I LOVED SF!! It probably is my favorite city in the US now. I would have posted some pictures but I have to weed my cam out of my box, and right now, I am super-lazy and would just love to curl up. So I'll put up a few pictures tomorrow.

I hadn't been able to read much over the past few days, except for a couple of hours 3 days back, so I am itching to get back to reading, and also to get started on the huge number of challenges that I have signed up for! (Now I am really rubbing my hands together!!)

I know, I am late getting this Sunday Salon post out, when more than half the world has moved on to the Monday blues, ah well, I still have about 35 minutes left, so that's good by me. *wink wink*

Oh oh, and... A zillion thanks to J. Kaye for this Blog Award! I was so thrilled to come back home and see this award!
