Pizza Girl by Jean Kyoung Frazier | Thoughts

Published in : 2020 Format read in : ebook Location : Los Angeles, US Rating : 4/5 Why I read it : I believe I saw this book first on the Morning's ToB longlist and then same day came across a copy in my library's Overdrive catalog and decided to read it. One line review : A slow mental destruction waiting to happen, live, as you read the book - not fun but also reinforces how easy it is to miss the signs. Who should read it : If a little stream-of-consciousness and reading about mental illness is something you gravitate towards, I would recommend this book to you.  Soon, you’ll have your own beautiful boy or girl who will look at you with their perfect little face and you’ll feel love and hope and, mostly, you’ll feel the weight of everything that’s ever happened to you and everything that will ever happen to them and you’ll want to run. Wow! It feels good to be home, albeit LA, which is not really home, but at least I am not staying in a hotel. I actually stay in Virginia, where I do my Masters, but currently, I am visiting my cousin in LA. On New Years Eve, my cousin's family and I drove 6 hours north to San Francisco. Three days of sightseeing, another 6 hour car drive back, and plenty of aching bones later, I am glad to be back in LA, to read and relax.

I should say, I LOVED SF!! It probably is my favorite city in the US now. I would have posted some pictures but I have to weed my cam out of my box, and right now, I am super-lazy and would just love to curl up. So I'll put up a few pictures tomorrow.

I hadn't been able to read much over the past few days, except for a couple of hours 3 days back, so I am itching to get back to reading, and also to get started on the huge number of challenges that I have signed up for! (Now I am really rubbing my hands together!!)

I know, I am late getting this Sunday Salon post out, when more than half the world has moved on to the Monday blues, ah well, I still have about 35 minutes left, so that's good by me. *wink wink*

Oh oh, and... A zillion thanks to J. Kaye for this Blog Award! I was so thrilled to come back home and see this award!
