It's the Island Life | Weekly Snapshot

By the time this post is published, we will all be back home, but right this moment, as I type this up, we are enjoying our last day at Daufuskie, a secluded island near Hilton Head, SC and Savannah, GA. We were lucky to score a cottage (without having to break the bank) with front-row access to the beach, something that has always been on my bucket list and that I was thrilled to cross off.  This week has been very refreshing and just what I needed - a getaway, a break from it all, a retreat with family with no thoughts of work, to-do lists, and chores getting in the way. mailboxmonday
This meme is hosted by Marcia @ The Printed Page. It is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week (checked out library books don’t count, eBooks & audio books do).

Being a very slow month, I didn't go in for too many books, just 7 of them.

  1. The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg (I won this one at Kathy's Bermudaonion's Weblog)
  2. Shanghai Girls by Lisa See (I won this one at Julie's Booking Mama)
  3. The Awakening and The Struggle (The Vampire Diaries, #1-2) by L.J. Smith (Giveaway @ A Bookish Way of Life)
  4. The Fury and Dark Reunion (The Vampire Diaries, #3-4) by L.J. Smith (Giveaway @ A Bookish Way of Life)
  5. Sugar by Bernice L. McFadden (This one came straight from the publisher, Plume Books)
  6. The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker (I won this one at Kristen's BookNAround)
  7. Through the Triangle by C.P. Stewart (Giveaway @ Tales of Whimsy...)
See what others have bought over the last week!
