Some 'firsts' in this new-normal world | Weekly Snapshot

I almost didn't make it here today! It's been an insanely busy week that's going to continue into today. Life This week has been a combination of busy at work and busy at home. The kids did not have school on Monday, which is also typically my busiest day at work. So when Monday ended, I felt as if I sucked at both life and work. The rest of the week was better - at least I was able to keep work and life separate.  This weekend just happens to be one of those when I have so much to do - thanks to the many tasks and chores deferred from previous days/weekends. We were getting quotes for some home improvement projects, had to start prepping rooms for my parents' arrival next month (mainly because I still haven't moved my daughter's online school materials out of the room from the Fall school year), and do lots of seasonal shopping. mailboxmonday
This meme is hosted by Marcia @ The Printed Page. It is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week (checked out library books don’t count, eBooks & audio books do).

Being a very slow month, I didn't go in for too many books, just 7 of them.

  1. The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg (I won this one at Kathy's Bermudaonion's Weblog)
  2. Shanghai Girls by Lisa See (I won this one at Julie's Booking Mama)
  3. The Awakening and The Struggle (The Vampire Diaries, #1-2) by L.J. Smith (Giveaway @ A Bookish Way of Life)
  4. The Fury and Dark Reunion (The Vampire Diaries, #3-4) by L.J. Smith (Giveaway @ A Bookish Way of Life)
  5. Sugar by Bernice L. McFadden (This one came straight from the publisher, Plume Books)
  6. The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker (I won this one at Kristen's BookNAround)
  7. Through the Triangle by C.P. Stewart (Giveaway @ Tales of Whimsy...)
See what others have bought over the last week!
