The renovation finally | Weekly Snapshot

I've been having quite a few busy weekends and haven't been able to post often on Sundays.  Renovating I have dropped a teaser here a few times but here's the scoop finally - We are renovating a big chunk of our main level. We've been planning this for the past 6-7 months. It started as a kitchen renovation project but now includes flooring through the main floor and master bathroom. We will have the renovation crew start tomorrow and depending on when all the materials get in, it could be 1.5-3 months before they are done. I just hope the flooring is done quickly because then we can reclaim some of the main floor back. Not having a kitchen for 2-3 months is going to be very challenging but we've been promised a small work area on the main floor where we can cook early morning and later in the evening. mailboxmonday
This meme is hosted by Marcia @ The Printed Page. It is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week (checked out library books don’t count, eBooks & audio books do).

Being a very slow month, I didn't go in for too many books, just 7 of them.

  1. The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg (I won this one at Kathy's Bermudaonion's Weblog)
  2. Shanghai Girls by Lisa See (I won this one at Julie's Booking Mama)
  3. The Awakening and The Struggle (The Vampire Diaries, #1-2) by L.J. Smith (Giveaway @ A Bookish Way of Life)
  4. The Fury and Dark Reunion (The Vampire Diaries, #3-4) by L.J. Smith (Giveaway @ A Bookish Way of Life)
  5. Sugar by Bernice L. McFadden (This one came straight from the publisher, Plume Books)
  6. The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker (I won this one at Kristen's BookNAround)
  7. Through the Triangle by C.P. Stewart (Giveaway @ Tales of Whimsy...)
See what others have bought over the last week!
