Renovation Updates | Weekly Snapshot

Gah, October? Where did the year go? I'm suddenly realizing we are entering the busiest season of the year and there's going to be tons to do for the next three months. It is unseasonably warmer right now, which makes it harder to believe that it's October. The colors have started changing but it's almost like the trees don't care and aren't even trying to put up a show.  Renovation updates At this point, we have completed two weeks in our house while under renovation. Yes, it's every bit as irritating, annoying, frustrating, dusty, and allergy-triggering as they say a renovation can be. But it's also oddly fascinating seeing your house ripped down to the subfloor and peeking inside walls at the things that are typically hidden inside one. It was also satisfying seeing progress made - there's a wall one day, no wall the next day, and then all openings patched up the third day. This coming week is going to see the most progress - the hardwood flooring

mailboxmonday This meme is hosted by Marcia @ The Printed Page. It is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week (checked out library books don’t count, eBooks & audio books do).

Five books this week. Plus thanks to Armchair BEA, I won/got 9 other ARCs. Woohoo!

  1. Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart from Harper Collins, courtesy of TLC Book Tours. (This is a memoir about two girls who are the first girls to work at Tiffany, written from the perspective of one of them. A real feel-good book)
  2. After loving The Lumby Lines, I received the remaining four books in the series from FSB Associates - Stealing Lumby, Lumby's Bounty, The Promise of Lumby and Lumby on the Air. You can imagine my excitement when I got the full set!

What do you think of any of these books?

I think they look beautiful!

I just bought Lumby Lines a few weeks ago based on several favorable blogger reviews. I hope to read it sometime this summer.

I really want to read The Lumby books. They seem like a series I could enjoy! Summer at Tiffany sounds like a good one too. Enjoy all your new reads!

I've got all those Lumby books too...and I really need to read at least the first one in the series! I love the covers :) And I got lucky and picked up a copy of Summer at Tiffanys at the BEA, so looks like we can exchange views on that one too :)
