So, I didn't get to do much today. I guess after spending a total of 21 hours on Bloggiesta, I got worn out. But I did get a lot done overall, and may spend some time next weekend on whatever is remaining.

I finally made the jump to buy my own domain through Blogger. I'm feeling so excited about it, because my URL earlier was a compromise (booksonarainyday instead of readingonarainyday). So I'm glad now to have a domain name that matches the title of this blog. I believe you should have no issues even if you were subscribed to my old URL - you should get diverted here fine. But just in case, the URL is

My whole URL transition process didn't go smooth. As soon as I bought the new domain name, my old URL should have transitioned almost immediately. Instead, I was left $10 poorer, as the owner of a new domain name but with my blog still stuck at the old URL. This was one of the cases where I can't be thankful enough for Twitter. Candace at Beth Fish Reads, immediately offered me suggestions and looked for help online. Thanks to her, I was able to fix the issue relatively soon.
I still have two tasks left out, which I'll tackle next weekend - a move to Disqus and updating the Creative Commons copyright of my blog. I wanted to wait until making sure this URL works fine and there are no issues, before doing anything more. Please do let me know if you face any problems with links at my blog, or have any trouble with feeds, etc. Blogger says that it takes up to 3 days for the whole transition process, but at this point, I don't know what that involves.
