The Help by Kathryn Stockett:
I probably will complete this book before this post is up, but at the moment, I have the last 150 pages to finish. I am totally loving this book! The prejudices and racial tensions of those times, the politicians playing the race card too often, Martin Luther King's much anticipated walk, the struggle to win equality - all these elements can be felt through the book, and more than once, I could find parallels between the events in the book and some events of today, though in different contexts. It's definitely an eye-opener. 
Open Season by Linda Howard: I can't say I'm really enjoying this. It's not boring or even bad, but it's dragging, and once I finish with The Help, I will be hoping that the pace of this book fastens! 
The 13th Hour by Richard Doetsch:
This
book is due back in the library on Thursday, So I'll have to do some speed reading and finish this off by then. I definitely want to read it, since I've waited two months for this thriller.
Precious / Push by Sapphire:
This one is due on Friday. But luckily, it's only 192 pages. I guess I can finish it in a few hours.

Loved The Help, and I love your comment about "zilch." I've been glued to the Olympics on TV since Friday and haven't read one page since then. Luckily I read a bit before then :) Have a great week.
