Chicago, more renovation, and Squid Game | Weekly Snapshot

I think I can say that Fall is finally here. Or at least the crisp Fall air is finally here. The colors not so much. We still haven't gotten around to any Fall activities, and at this point, I'm not sure when or if we'll do them.  Renovation updates We are almost at the halfway point into our ground floor renovation. The flooring is almost done, cabinets are ready to be setup, appliances are here. It's exciting to be on the other side of the renovation when things are getting finished. There's still easily 2.5 weeks worth of work left in the kitchen, and another 2-2.5 weeks for the master bathroom, so mid-November is likely when we are done with the renovation. Assuming no delays.  Flooring coming along All of us are pretty exhausted at this point. Walking up and down the stairs to pick items from the makeshift pantry and then cook on the main floor gets old very fast. I have been able to work from home without issues and I'm grateful for that. It's Monday! What are you reading? -- July 26, 2010

It's Monday! What are you reading this week?
This is a weekly event initially hosted by J. Kaye at J. Kaye's Book Blog, now by Sheila @ One Persons Journey through a world of Books, to celebrate what you are reading for the week as well as books completed the previous week.

Books completed last week
Having just returned back from watching Inception, I totally forgot about this post. My conscious and "subconscious" kept muddling over all the facts before it "woke itself up" and I remembered this post.
So it's been another busy week, and I got only one book done.
The Color Purple by Alice Walker

Books on my nightstand

I guess I did become too ambitious with my reading list last week, so I have pretty much the same set of books on my nightstand again.

One Vacant Chair by Joe Coomer: I started reading this one yesterday, but didn't get that far in. It's quite funny at times, plus engrossing.
Crazy by Han Nolan: Again, I will read this only if I get the time. I'm not sure yet about it, plus this ebook expires in a few days.
The Passage by Justin Cronin: I really can't wait to read this. I am so in a mood for reality-challenging stuff now, without venturing into anything paranormal. Could be the Inception effect.

I adore Nelson Demille, but I haven't yet read the one you've chosen. I'll be back to see what you thought of it.

Have a great reading week!

Hi Aths. I am looking forward to watching Inception.
I just picked up The Passage, and while I want to read it, I have to admit that the length is daunting t me. You have to let me now when you start, and maybe I will be inspired.
