Infinite Country by Patricia Engel | Thoughts

Published : 2021   ||    Format : print   ||    Location : Colombia ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆   What was it about the country that kept everyone hostage to its fantasy? The previous month, on its own soil, an American man went to his job at a plant and gunned down fourteen coworkers, and last spring alone there were four different school shootings. A nation at war with itself, yet people still spoke of it as some kind of paradise.. Thoughts : Infinite Country follows two characters - young Talia, who at the beginning of this book, escapes a girl’s reform school in North Colombia so that she can make her previously booked flight to the US. The Sunday Salon (A new car) -- September 12, 2010

The Sunday
Salon.com

As the title says, I just got my new car! *drumroll please* It's a white 2007 Honda Accord, and I'm just relishing driving the huge sedan! I don't have any pictures yet, so I'll let you google if you wish. ;-)

So, my last week was spent almost entirely on finishing the car business - you know, the loans and the paperwork, and the insurance, etc. And after getting the car - inspection, registration, etc. And the malls for a fun ride. LOL! You can see I am excited, because this is my first car, so it feels great!

I had a hectic week basically. Today's my only weekend - but hopefully this means my very busy days are over.

As I said last week, I'm doing the Game On! Diet, which isn't going too well for me, because I've always thought my diet was healthy - and I even lost weight with that. But now, I'm expected to tighten it further? I somehow don't see myself succeeding in that, but like I said, I'll use this as an opportunity to get to know my meals even more intimately. Other than that, the game is going decent - not excellent, because I get lazy every once in a while.

Off to read some book now - Happy reading and happy blogging!

A new car! That is so exciting! I love the idea of a new car even though mine is doing just fine :-)

Don't get down on yourself about the Game On Diet. Life shouldn't be about "should-ing" ourselves
