This Spring-like week | Weekly Snapshot

After weeks of near-zero (Fahrenheit) temperatures and so much snow (more than we have ever received in years), we are now in the 50s and it's looking that way for all of next week, woo hoo! Life We seem to have settled into a routine around here. Work has calmed down a bit as well, so you'd think that all this means I should be reading more or dabble in things that sound fun. Sadly no. While I still much relish being able to work from home and having kids safe in school, it would be nice to be able to socialize more with no worry of the virus. Yesterday, we all went for a long walk out in the beautiful weather. On our way, we passed by the park we spent so much time in last year but didn't venture inside because there were so many people in there. I look forward to the day we don't need to do that. Spring break is coming soon and we are seriously considering safe vacation options. We don't have any grand ideas at the moment but we'll be thinking about it more.

Off for a week!

Happy Thanksgiving and Hanukkah to all who celebrate it!

I will be away from the blog until next Wednesday as we are heading down to Miami and Key West this weekend. It will be interesting to step into the plane from 30 F weather and step out into 70 F weather. Not that I am looking forward to it. I love winter any day!

Still, it's a vacation, a break from work for 6 days, a chance to relax, enjoy Cuban cuisine, and read some books. These are what I've packed into my bag/kindle and cannot wait to dig into!

As usual, I am taking more books than I usually finish even in a month but who's to say I shouldn't be optimistic? Or overly optimistic. I may well read Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House, simply because I've heard way too much about it and it's due back at the library soon. Which one would you choose to read?

I am very late with this comment, so I just hope you loved all the books! Did you like Kindred?!

I loved Kindred! That's the only book I read on my vacatopm. I wish I had read it sooner for #Diversiverse. I still cannot get the book out of my head and cannot believe it took me so long to get to it.
