Anyone excited about Fall? I keep peeping out my window every day hoping to see colors changing drastically. So far, it's just the odd leaf here and there, and a vast, vivid-green mass of trees standing haughtily about to greet me. I am however done with the heat. There is a reason I stay in Virginia, and that is because I hate the heat and can just handle a couple of months of it. Fall also hopefully means more time indoors and hence more reading. My August reading sucked, but I'm not surprised - I had too much going on, and I'm hoping to unplug this month.

On second thoughts, I did have a decent month. One of those lovely surprises.

Traveling with my books this year
Dominican Republic (Yo!) was a new hit last month. Plus, thanks to In the Sea There are Crocodiles, Afghanistan.

I was going to say that's almost 2 books a week which looks pretty good to me!
Looks like a good month to me. My reading is definitely slowing down now that school has begun. I wish we got fall colors here, but we don't. It just begins to cool down in November
I'm funny. I'm the opposite. Fall means more time for me outside. I hate summer :)
Happy week!
Duh! I read this wrong. You hate the heat too! Forgive me. Redo. Rewind. Delete. Here is what I meant to say: Me too! I love Fall. For me Fall finally means I can tolerate going outside. I hope to put a chair in my yard and read.
Happy week!
An intriguing list of books! I agree with you about fall...it's my favorite time of year, but here in California's Central Valley, the days are numbered. It's sometimes hot until October...a brief fall...and then it's foggy and drizzling.

So glad to see READY PLAYER ONE made your books of the month list! I really enjoyed it, too.
I really want to read IN THE SEA and I look forward to your thoughts on it! :-)
Wow, you're really going places! I loved The Curious Incident, too. I have heard a lot about Ready Player One, and you making it a book of the month makes me even more curious to read it.

Didn't read enough? You read more in a month than some people read in a year. Enjoyed all the reviews. September I'm sure will be just as awesome.
I LOVED The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time and Naked.
I agree - I didn't have an overall sense that I read much this month, but once I did this post, I realized that I did read quite a bit.
It's already cold here. It was sudden - From Friday, we've been shivering in our summer clothes. The jackets have all come out, it's crazy!
Haha! I got you! I love Fall too - the colors haven't changed much here yet, but it's beginning to get cold here.
That's about the only thing that disappoints me about the California - the lack of Fall colors.
I remember reading your review - I'm so glad that you enjoyed it too!
I liked In the Sea There are Crocodiles! I hope you enjoy it too.
I hope you try Ready Player One! It was a fabulous read!
Haha! You are totally right there!
They were both good books!
